It keeps the kitties occupied. I leave this plugged in all the time, and when the cats become bored, they activate the motion sensor on their own. This is a must, and I love it, because I have a kitten and an older cat who likes lights. The only issue is that the small USB plug is difficult to remain plugged in; it simply slides out, therefore it must be perfectly balanced. The charger will be removed from the laser with a small touch. It's a little far-fetched.
